ShasYomi

About ShasYomi

Bringing the ancient wisdom of the Talmud to the modern world through collective learning.

Our Mission

ShasYomi was born from a simple yet profound idea: What if we could complete the entire Talmud not in 7.5 years, but every single day, together as a global community?

The Talmud contains 2,711 dafim (double-sided pages) of wisdom, law, stories, and insights that have guided Jewish life for over 1,500 years. Traditionally, the Daf Yomi cycle takes individuals 7.5 years to complete. But when we divide this vast corpus among thousands of learners worldwide, each person can focus deeply on a small portion while contributing to something much greater.

Our platform makes this collective learning accessible to everyone, regardless of Hebrew proficiency, time availability, or prior Talmudic knowledge.

Our Growing Impact

Our Values

Community

Learning is enhanced when we do it together. Our platform connects learners across the globe, creating bonds through shared study and mutual support.

Accessibility

Talmudic wisdom should be available to everyone. We provide translations, commentaries, and resources to make learning possible regardless of background or experience.

Dedication

Each day's learning can be dedicated to honor loved ones, mark special occasions, or support those in need, adding personal meaning to collective study.

Your Learning Matters

Every amud you study, every moment you dedicate, every insight you gain contributes to something eternal and sacred.

🌟

Klal Yisrael Needs You

The Jewish people have carried the torch of Torah learning for over 3,000 years. Your daily study continues this unbroken chain, connecting you to generations past and future. You are not just learning for yourself—you are learning for all of us.

💎

Every Word is Precious

The Talmud teaches us that when even one person sits and learns Torah, the Divine Presence rests upon them. Your 15 minutes of daily study creates ripples of holiness that extend far beyond what you can see. Each word you learn elevates the entire world.

Uniting Our People

When Jews around the world learn the same texts, we create bonds that transcend geography, language, and background. Your participation in ShasYomi helps heal divisions and brings unity to our people. Together, we are stronger.

🕯️

Light in Dark Times

In a world filled with challenges and uncertainty, Torah learning brings light, hope, and meaning. Your daily study is a beacon of wisdom that illuminates not just your own path, but helps guide others toward truth and understanding.

❤️

Honoring Our Ancestors

Every page of Talmud was preserved through centuries of persecution, exile, and hardship. When you learn, you honor the memory of those who gave their lives to preserve these teachings. You ensure their sacrifice was not in vain.

🌱

Growing Your Soul

Torah learning doesn't just fill your mind—it transforms your soul. Each day of study makes you more compassionate, more wise, more connected to your purpose. You are not the same person you were yesterday, and tomorrow you will be even greater.

You Are Part of Something Eternal

"When ten people sit together and occupy themselves with Torah, the Divine Presence rests among them."
— Pirkei Avot 3:6

Imagine: thousands of people around the world, each studying their portion, creating a global study hall where the Divine Presence dwells. You are not just a participant—you are an essential part of this sacred gathering. Without you, the circle is incomplete.

Why Collective Learning Works

Manageable Commitment

Instead of overwhelming daily study, each person focuses on just one section, making consistent learning achievable.

Deeper Understanding

By studying the same section repeatedly, learners develop intimate familiarity with their assigned text.

Global Connection

Knowing that others around the world are learning alongside you creates a powerful sense of shared purpose.

Collective Achievement

Together, we accomplish what would take an individual years to complete, creating a daily celebration of learning.

A Global Movement

From New York to Jerusalem, from London to Sydney, learners wake up each day knowing they're part of something bigger. Our community spans time zones, cultures, and backgrounds, united by the shared commitment to daily learning.

Learning with Purpose

Each day's collective learning can be dedicated in memory of loved ones, in honor of celebrations, or in support of those facing challenges. This adds deep personal meaning to our shared study.
